Owl
Something I want to put in my room. The Greek writing means "Smart Girls Rule" One of my best achievements yet.
Cougar
Experimenting with drawing without lines. I did a quick sketch, made a new layer, blocked in color, deleted the sketch, and added detail. Looks good!

Ancient Dragon
There's a story behind this picture.
Morgeth was a young, dark dragon. He was a proud fighter who had defeated many strong warriors. His only fear was that of his own demise. He was so terrified of death itself that he quested far and wide for a way to cheat the inevitable.
Once, when Morgeth was traveling abroad, he angered the residents of a small village by poisoning their water supply. The villagers called upon a witch with resided nearby, and she gladly agreed to punish him for his actions.
The witch brewed a potion which made her appear to be a dark sorcerer. She sought out Morgeth, and pretended to commend him for his feats.
"You are a brave, young dragon. You have become the death of many knights and the scourge of the countryside. Since you are worthy of honor, you may have a single wish granted."
Morgeth, always greedy, asked for a way to avoid death permanently.
The disguised witch started working a complex spell. Right before she uttered the final words of its chant, she threw off her disguise. "Filthy beast! You shall live forever, but you will continue to age. You will never die, and even when your bones rot to dust you will still be aware of oblivion. You will never rest! You are bound forever because of what you have done, of all the childrens' fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters you have killed! I bind you!"
The wicked dragon roared in anger. He tried to spit acid on the witch, but she had disappeared.
Years passed. At first Morgeth was angry and resentful of what had happened. After a hundred years, he grew weary of existence. He tried to take his own life, he tried to have others kill him, but the wounds would stay in his skin forever.
Morgeth, tired of being alive, retired to his lair to rest upon the mounds of golden and silver treasure forever.

Avatar Contest Entry
My entry for AlphaWolf's Avatar Design Contest
I really enjoy how this turned out. The lines on the paw are a little heavy, but the overall effect is nice.

Water Dragon
It's a happy dragon. Happy happy blissed out water dragon.
I especially like how the fin things turned out.
It was going to be a dog, but then it drew itself.

A Self(ish) Portrait
The eyes are hollow, as a metaphor for our existence. We only see the surface of things, we never look beyond the face value. It is on a rare occasion that one of us sees the true value and the meaning of what it is to be human.
That, and I was too lazy to draw them. >w<
